Hey Reader, Art has a way of encapsulating the important moments in our lives. Recently, I was entrusted with a special commission – crafting a piece for a couple celebrating 30 years of marriage. 💍 💙 I wanted to take you behind the scenes into this project ...
It started with an email, then a phone call. I wanted to learn the story of this couple and what each place meant to them. Our conversations revealed the memories that made their journey unique. From the historic charm of Philadelphia to the vibrant culture of Miami, and across the Atlantic to London’s Tower Bridge, each city and landmark are a part of their story. In this commission, I embraced an abstract depiction of urban landscapes, blending realism with colorful elements to evoke each landmark. I wanted to embody spirit of growing older while staying youthful together through the cities. Often I like to think of each dot as a different person in the cityscape, equal to the viewer, but with a story that we will never fully fathom... This project was an awesome reminder of how art can connect us to the people we love most. I'm taking on a few select commissions for the beginning of 2025.
