Cities heads to Rio! 🌴 * Discount offer inside *

Hey friends,

This week I am back in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil for Rio Art Residency!

15 international artists. 1 house. 1 week. One mission:

Elevate emerging artists and create a cultural exchange.

I've stepped into the role of lead artist + co-founder, helping curate and guide the artists in a collaborative mural. (video)

***Offering a special discount in the shop while I'm in Brazil:

$25 Cities poster prints + discounted postcard sets.

All sales will come with free post cards and will help cover paint & expenses for the artwork we're creating down here.

We’re bringing the spirit of Cities to life through paint, collaboration and improvisation.

I reminded the artists yesterday that murals belongs to where you paint them, not to the artist ... it's important to create with that in mind and frame the art as gift for locals to enjoy.

For the line up this year, we thoughtfully hand picked a selection of emerging and established artists. We had to ensure that the vibes would be immaculate.

Recognize any names? πŸ‘€

If you want to learn more about the residency, the artists, or learn more about how you can support, you can check out the the website here.

The residency would not be possible without the support of Selkie, the patrons and partners. THANK YOU / OBRIGADO!

Hey Reader, Sharing a process breakdown today... This weekend is the closing days for the Cities at dot+grid gallery. Before Cities was a collection or a gallery show, it was an idea in a mural ... just my hand and a paint marker. These pieces capture my journey of trying to break free and find my way through the grid as a neurodivergent / colorblind artist. Hand painted murals...
