Three years in the making ...

Hey Reader,

Time for a new chapter.

Cities
is joining the Art Blocks family on June 16th + showing in NYC on the 27th/28th!

What once started as a simple expression on paper to capture urban motion patterns has become something much bigger.

From line drawings, paintings, murals, screen prints ... now transformed into an infinite city made of lines of code. πŸŒƒπŸ‘¨β€πŸ’»

This collaboration has a long and storied history. I first had the idea in 2022, but it all became possible when I met the artist known as Diid.

It's insane to see a system built around my visual language. This is something I would've only dreamed of years ago, but now it's real.

Three years in the making, this new chapter of Cities will finally open in 4 days.

I hope the work captures some of your own memories of your life in different cities, and I'd love to hear what you see / feel.

Share your city memory here.

This is not artificial intelligence. It's a hand-coded system. This type of art has been around for 50 years. But only recently it has been brought onchain.

The project lives at the intersection of memory, motion, and urban design. It captures the rhythm of streets, the randomness of grids, and the feeling of moving through spaces both real and imagined.

Some works are inspired by actual cities, others are pure imagination β€” dreamscapes shaped by intuition and code.

The Italy chapter from April was just a warm up, this new chapter is the main attraction.

Hi Reader, What's the last place you would expect to see an art event? Probably the desert, in the middle of nowhere, Texas. In fact, this is where I just got back from. Cities Marfa Mural, paint on canvas (available) In the middle of West Texas lies an artist paradise. Marfa is a small town founded in 1883 that's sprinkled with contemporary art galleries / foundations, public sculptures and new movements taking shape. From high above, the area feels calm, almost desolate. Look closer and...
