Hey Reader, This one's personal. Over the course of a full year, I watched my partner Jessie Mordine pour her heart and soul into a body of work. One piece a day, every day. I’ve seen how much it took, and I'm so proud of her for getting through it. In such a fast paced technology-driven world, Jessie decided to go the other direction for this. By steadily hand-weaving each day, it gives her the chance to slow down and sit with her medium intentionally. The opening night was truly energetic. We had worked for weeks up until that point to get the space looking polished. It was such a relief to finally have it finished and see all the people in the space enjoying the art. Because the project was based on a full year of daily work, it's been lovely to see people find pieces made on an important date. Birthdays, Anniversaries, Memorials, and more. Explore the collection here, and find your favorites.
**Free framing this week only! Purchase an unframed piece by Sunday and you will get it delivered in a 13" x 17" shadowbox frame (shown below). We built this gallery to create space for connection, and for displaying process driven collection like this. Our studio & gallery is located in Bushwick, Brooklyn, and this first exhibition runs through June 1st. There's still plenty of time slots open to come see the work.
All artworks in Jessie's new collection correspond to a date of the year. Find your favorite dates, and reply to this email with any feedback / questions. Sending love from Brooklyn, – Efdot & Jessie |

Hey Reader, Sharing a process breakdown today... This weekend is the closing days for the Cities at dot+grid gallery. Before the work comes down off the walls, I wanted to share how the collection came to be, and what it means to me. Before Cities was a collection or a gallery show, it was an idea in a mural ... just my hand and a paint marker. These pieces capture my journey of trying to break free and find my way through the grid as a neurodivergent / colorblind artist. Hand painted murals...
